“My Mister” Reappears On Drama Chart Following Lee Sun-kyun’s Death

On December 29th, “My Mister” appeared on the list of Netflix Korea’s Rising Content rankings.

tvN’s drama “My Mister” began airing in March 2018 and ended in May of the same year.

It is presumed that the drama appeared in the list because many fans have been rewatching it in remembrance of the late actor Lee Sun-kyun.

In online communities, Lee Sun-kyun’s famous line in “My Mister” is also re-examined, drawing regrets from netizens. In the drama, Dong-hoon (Lee Sun-kyun) said, “There’s nothing to be embarrassed, right? People are complaining that their lives are ruined. There’s no such thing. I can live happily. My life won’t be ruined and I will be happy”.

There’s also a famous line that Dong-hoon said to Ji-an (Lee Ji-eun), “I can breathe just by having someone who supports me”.

Netizens are pouring reactions such as “I already miss him…”, “If the deceased had remembered these words…”, “It makes me feel more upset knowing the person who sadly ended his life said these lines”, “What a waste of a talented actor”, etc.

Meanwhile, Lee Sun-kyun passed away on December 29th at the age of 48. His funeral is being held privately at the funeral hall of Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
