Male Kpop idol allegedly dated a non-celebrity right after fanmeeting: “They are just friends from the same hometown”

AB6IX Kim Dong Hyun, who was recently involved in dating rumors, is “just meeting up with friends”, said his agency. 

Photos said to be AB6IX Kim Dong Hyun and a girl publicly hanging out together at midnight in Apgujeong district have been spreading across the net. The photos was reportedly taken right after AB6IX’s fanmeeting “AB New Era in Seoul”, and while Kim Dong Hyun’s face was not shown, he was wearing the same T-shirt and bag when he arrived at the fanmeeting venue, rousing suspicions.

In addition, the male idol showed close skinship with the female by his side, hugging her waist and letting her lean onto him, which convinced netizens that the two have been dating. 

Responding to these speculations, Brand New Music, the company of AB6IX, stated: “The truth is that Kim Dong Hyun had a meeting with friends from his hometown after dinner. He was preparing to head home after the gathering, and after sending his friends off, he caught a taxi home”. 

Kim Dong Hyun debuted in AB6IX alongside Jeon Woong, “Produce 101” contestant Im Young Min, and former Wanna One members Lee Dae Hwi and Park Woo Jin in 2019. Their former leader Im Young Min previously left the group following a drunk-drinking scandal.
