As BLACKPINK’s exclusive contract with YG is approaching its end, Korean media reported that Lisa and YG haven’t reached an agreement.
According to a Munhwa Daily report on July 12th, prior to BLACKPINK’s contract expiration date in August 2023, Lisa has entered negotiation with YG Entertainment regarding contract extension.
However, the two parties haven’t reached any agreement, said Munhwa Daily, with YG hoping for a “dramatic agreement”, despite a stark difference in perspective.
In addition, Munhwa Daily claimed that contract negotiations are going well for the 3 remaining members of BLACKPINK, including Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé.
On the same day, YG Entertainment has spoken up about Munhwa Daily’s claims. According to the agency, rumors of them having difficulties in contract negotiation with Lisa is “groundless”. Instead, all of BLACKPINK are currently in smooth discussion, said YG.
