The images revealed scenes from Lee Yoo-young’s wedding held on September 21. Surrounded by vibrant floral decorations at an outdoor venue, Lee enjoyed the happy moment alongside her supportive husband and their daughter, who resembled her like a “mini-me.”
A special highlight was the guest section reserved for her Korea National University of Arts classmates. About 15 alumni attended, including Park So-dam, turning the occasion into a celebration of both love and friendship. Their presence drew attention to the strong bond among the school’s alumni.
Park So-dam also praised her friend’s look, writing: “Unnie (sister), your short cut is so beautiful.” Lee wowed attendees in a chic wedding gown with see-through details on the bodice and sleeves, exuding elegance and sophistication.
Lee Yoo-young had previously registered her marriage with a non-celebrity husband in May 2024 and announced her pregnancy at the same time. After giving birth to her daughter, she officially celebrated her wedding on September 21, about a year later.
On September 23, Lee Yoo-young posted a series of wedding still cuts on social media with the caption, “The day before yesterday, we finally held our wedding.” The photos revealed an intimate yet elegant ceremony, with warm family shots and candid moments that highlighted the deep emotions of the day.
Lee also shared details about the preparation process, noting, “Our director managed everything quickly and neatly, so all we had to do was make choices. From the wedding shoot to the ceremony, everything came together in just two months, and it couldn’t have been more satisfying.” Despite the short preparation time, she emphasized that both the shoot and the ceremony were seamless and meaningful.
The actress highlighted the strong “family wedding” concept, saying, “They captured photos of us as a family that we may never be able to take again. These are irreplaceable memories.” She also expressed gratitude to the wedding team, adding, “The photos even made me want to share my husband’s face for the first time.”
The atmosphere at the ceremony itself was equally memorable. “It was a perfect wedding day — the weather was incredible, the congratulatory songs from dear friends were lovely, and being surrounded by family, relatives, colleagues, and loved ones made it unforgettable,” she wrote. Lee described it as a once-in-a-lifetime moment filled with happiness and dopamine rushes.
Though the wedding was private, Lee stressed the significance of the event for her family, writing, “Above all, it was a precious memory with my husband and baby. I think this feeling will linger for a long time, something I will never forget. Thank you to everyone.”
In the past, Lee Yoo-young dated the late actor Kim Joo Hyuk (Reply 1988) for about a year. They first met on the set of Yourself and Yours and quickly became a couple. The two even planned to hold a wedding in 2017. Sadly, just before the big day, Kim tragically passed away at the age of 45 in a serious car accident.
