On September 23, Im Yoon-ah appeared on the YouTube channel “Baek Eun-ha’s Joogobatgo”, where she sat down with critic Baek Eun-ha for an in-depth conversation.
During the talk, Baek Eun-ha brought up Lee Chae-min, Yoon-ah’s co-star in tvN’s hit drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. Asked whether working with a younger colleague brought a sense of freshness during the nine months of filming, Yoon-ah reflected on the experience. Lee, born in 2000, is ten years younger than Yoon-ah, born in 1990.
Yoon-ah praised Lee’s maturity, saying: “He has a very mature way of thinking. Conversations with him felt very comfortable.” She added: “He seems bold in the way he expresses himself,” noting his confidence on set. Yoon-ah also shared that as she gained more junior colleagues, she began to better understand the perspective of her own seniors.
Reflecting on her growth, she said that in her 30s she now feels a sense of ease, wanting to support younger actors and build projects together. “I want to show my juniors the same care that my seniors once showed me,” she said, highlighting her development into a dependable mentor figure.
Currently airing its final episodes, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, starring Im Yoon-ah and Lee Chae-min, has achieved ratings as high as 15.8% (Nielsen Korea), maintaining strong buzz as it nears its conclusion.
