There’s still a leg hair test in the investigation of Lee Sun-kyun’s drug charges
According to SBS 8News broadcast on November 3rd, the National Forensic Service confirmed that Lee Sun-kyun tested negative in the hair drug test.
An official from the National Forensic Service explained, “After collecting about 100 strands of Lee Sun-kyun’s hair, 10cm long each, and conducting an examination, we received negative results in all sections. Considering that it takes about a month for hair to grow 1cm, it means the actor has not taken drugs for the past 8-10 months at least.”
In this regard, Gyeonggi Ilbo reported, “The police decided that they would wait for the result of the remaining detailed examination of Lee Sun-kyun’s leg hair”, adding “In 2019, singer and actor Park Yoo-chun also tested negative for hair and urine tests, but received a positive result in the leg hair test”.
However, if the leg hair examination also detects no drug ingredients, such as marijuana, the police will lose their motive in the investigation.
Previously, Lee Sun-kyun tested negative in the simple drug test at the first police questioning. That’s why a detailed examination from the National Forensic Service was requested.
If Lee Sun-kyun’s leg hair test also comes out with a negative result, there is a possibility that the prosecution will be suspended and the actor will be cleared of charges.
