Actor Lee Sun-kyun stated that he was deceived into taking drugs without knowing
According to the legal circles on November 5th, Lee Sun-kyun, who is under police investigation on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act, gave a new statement during the second summons at the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency on the previous day (November 4th). The actor reportedly claimed, “A, director of an entertainment establishment, deceived me and gave me something. I didn’t know it was a kind of illegal drug.”
However, the police reportedly secured important evidence related to Lee Sun-kyun’s drug use through the digital forensic of his mobile phone, which was seized during the first summons. Therefore, they plan to further confirm the credibility of Lee Sun-kyun’s statement, conduct a reinforcement investigation, and request the attendance of a third person soon.
Meanwhile, Lee Sun-kyun was booked on charges of having been administering drugs, such as marijuana and psychotropic drugs, at hostess bar director A’s residence since the beginning of this year. During the first summons on October 28th, he tested negative in the simple drug test. Even the thorough examination of the actor’s urine and hair by the National Forensic Service couldn’t detect any drug ingredients.
After the three-hour second summons on the 4th, Lee Sun-kyun came out and said, “I sincerely answered all the questions regarding relationships and everything”. The police are also considering applying for an arrest warrant for Lee Sun-kyun based on Lee Sun-kyun’s acknowledgment of the drug charges and doses.
Meanwhile, the police are investigating drug allegations against 10 people, including Lee Sun-kyun, G-Dragon, an aspiring entertainer, a composer, and a third-generation chaebol.
