Lee Seung-gi’s sister-in-law Lee Yoo-bi explains the controversy over disruptive guest outfit at her sister’s wedding

On March 19th, SBS’s “Strong Heart VS” released a video titled “Lee Yoo-bi, Explanation of the Controversy Over Disruptive Guest Outfit at Lee Da-in♥Lee Seung-gi’s Wedding”.

Lee Yoo-bi mentioned the incident that caused controversy at her younger sister Lee Da-in‘s wedding and said, “I really wanted to talk about it.“

Last year, Lee Yoo-bi presented an all-pink guest outfit at Lee Da-in and Lee Seung-gi’s wedding. Some criticized Lee Yoo-bi’s flashy guest outfit, which was more eye-catching than the bride.

Regarding this, Lee Yoo-bi explained, “My sister wanted to buy me clothes (guest outfit) herself. So I said, ‘You buy it yourself. Buy what you want me to wear.’ While I was filming a drama, she sent me a picture of the outfit. She said, ‘I bought it because I thought it would suit you well. If the size doesn’t fit, exchange it.’ I thanked her and said, ‘I’ll wear this. Congratulations.’“

She continued, “On the day of the wedding, I was filming. It was the end of Season 1, and I was very busy. I wore wigs for the drama at that time. There was no time to do my hair, and the wigs stood out too much. So I wore the most ordinary wig among Mo-ne (her character in the drama)’s wigs, but it kept moving, so I wore a headband.”

Lee Yoo-bi confessed, “I wore that outfit (guest outfit) in the drama too. After filming, I had to go to the wedding right away, so I just changed the wig. Even the bag was connected (to the drama). But when the guest photo came out, people said, ‘She was trying to outshine her sister.’ I was so surprised at what they were saying.“

She added, “At that time, there was a lot of talk about the guest outfit being pink, but what my sister wanted was to match the groom’s side with blue and the bride’s side with pink. So my sister chose that outfit for me. The articles continued for 3~4 days. So I told my sister, ‘I’ll dress you in an evening dress at my wedding.’“
