Singer-actor Lee Seung Gi is in conflict with his agency Hook Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Hook), and his fans directly came forward.
On Nov 24th, Lee Seung Gi‘s fan association, Airen, released a statement related to Lee Seung Gi’s music revenue settlement.
They said, “Regarding the content of the article ‘Lee Seung Gi’s music revenue settlement 0 won’ reported on Nov 21st, 2022, Lee Seung Gi’s fan association Airen condemns Hook Entertainment and CEO Kwon Jin Young and actively supports Lee Seung Gi.”
They continued, “Despite Lee Seung Gi’s successful singing career, it is extremely unfair that his music revenue remained 0 won and that Lee Seung Gi’s request to check music revenue settlement details a year ago was ignored.”
They censured, “In particular, Airen is very angry that Hook has instilled a sense of shame and guilty conscience through psychological domination and oppressive behaviors over the past 20 years to Lee Seung Gi, a celebrity who is loved and recognized by the public.“
They also asked CEO Kwon Jin Young to issue an apology for Lee Seung Gi, complete the settlement of music revenue for his singing activities, terminate Lee Seung Gi’s exclusive contract due to violation of duty, comply with corporate ethics as an entertainment management company, as well as stop threatening and slandering Lee Seung Gi.
Lee Seung Gi released a total of 137 songs for 18 years since his debut in 2004, but it was revealed that he sent a certification of contents to Hook after learning that he had not received a single penny from Hook for music revenue settlement. In addition, there is a controversial report that Hook’s CEO Kwon Jin Young has been gaslighting Lee Seung Gi and people around him.
