Actor Lee Dong Ha is making a strong impression on viewers with his latest role in SBS’s hit Friday-Saturday drama Agent Kim Reactivated.
In the drama, which has become one of the biggest ratings successes of the year, Lee Dong Ha portrays Manager Nam, the loyal chief secretary to Juhak Construction CEO Joo Kang Chan (played by Joo Sang Wook).
During a recent episode, Gold Tooth (played by Jo Bok Rae) confidently demanded to meet Joo Kang Chan. Manager Nam immediately silenced him with nothing more than a cold, intimidating stare.
The tense encounter carried extra weight because of the characters’ violent history. Earlier in the series, Manager Nam had brutally tortured Gold Tooth by pulling out all of his teeth after he refused to obey Joo Kang Chan’s orders.
Standing beside the battered man, Manager Nam chillingly asked, “Have you finally learned to wag your tail? There are other ways too I could pour boiling water down your throat so you won’t even be able to bark.” The scene highlighted both the character’s ruthless cruelty and his unquestioning loyalty to his employer.
While Lee Dong Ha’s performance has been attracting attention, many viewers also know him as the husband of Girl’s Day member Sojin.
The couple tied the knot in 2023 after first meeting while filming the 2021 drama The Grotesque Mansion.
Sojin also publicly supported her husband shortly after Agent Kim Reactivated premiered. On June 27, one day after the drama’s first episode aired, she uploaded a photo of Lee Dong Ha from the series on her social media account.
Alongside the image, she wrote, “The first episode was so much fun. My hubby appears in Agent Kim Reactivated. He’s Manager Nam… and he’s so scary. I can’t wait to watch tomorrow’s episode.”
Agent Kim Reactivated tells the story of an ordinary father who transforms into the most dangerous man imaginable in order to rescue his only daughter, delivering a revenge-driven action drama centered on family and sacrifice.
