LE SSERAFIM, who made a comeback on October 17th, is creating a big sensation in both the domestic and foreign music markets.
On the first day of release, the 2nd mini album “ANTIFRAGILE” of LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) recorded a total of 36,812 copies in Japan, ranking first in the Oricon’s daily album ranking. LE SSERAFIM’s album also went straight to the top of the Oricon chart at the same time as it was released, boasting a hot popularity in Japan.
The title song of the same name entered Japan’s Line Music daily chart at No. 17 on October 17th, and climbed to No. 8 on the chart on October 18th, quickly landing in the top 10. The b-side songs “No Celestial”, “Good Parts (when the quality is bad but I am)”, “Impurities”, and “The Hydra” were ranked 30th, 47th, 56th, and 86th respectively on the Daily Chart of the 18th. Following domestic music sites, all the songs in the second mini album charted in Japan, showing almost a sensation.
Meanwhile, in Korea, “ANTIFRAGILE” entered Melon’s real-time chart “Top 100” at 7 pm (KST) on October 17th, right after its release, at No. 27, and peaked at No. 5 at 11 PM on the 18th. In addition, after first appearing at No. 6 on the real-time chart of Bugs at 7 PM on the 17th, the song climbed to the 2nd place immediately at 8 PM, and has been maintaining the same ranking as of 10 AM on October 19th. The track also charted at #96 on Vibe’s “Today’s Top 100” chart on the 17th, and climbed up to #18 on the 18th.
At the same time, LE SSERAFIM is also showing off a higher status in the overseas music market. According to the October 17th chart of Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming company, the title song “ANTIFRAGILE” was listed on the ‘Daily Top Songs’ in a total of 15 countries/regions. It took first place in Korea’s “Daily Top Songs” and ranked 16th, 27th, and 30th in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, respectively. Moreover, upon release, it entered the global Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs” and proved their worldwide popularity.
Physical album sales are also seeing a positive trend. In particular, LE SSERAFIM sold 408,833 copies on the first day of release alone, becoming the fourth girl group to have sold more than 400,000 copies on the day of release. On October 17th, the top of Hanteo’s Daily Chart was occupied by LE SSERAFIM.
LE SSERAFIM, who made a comeback after 5 months, is recording excellent results compared to their debut album in all aspects. Proving their growth in numbers, they took off as a “large group” within just two albums.
