“King the Land” & “See You in My 19th Life” see rating drops in the second half of broadcast

These two dramas secured fixed viewers at first but their ratings keep falling after the stories reached the second half.

According to the viewership research agency Nielsen Korea on July 23rd, episode 11 of JTBC’s “King the Land”, which aired the previous day (July 22nd), recorded a nationwide rating of 9%.

This result shows a slight decrease from the rating of episode 10 (11.3%). In particular, “King the Land” has been on a decline since it peaked at 12.3% in episode 8.

tvN’s “See You in My 19th Life”, which premiered on the same day, is also witnessing a regrettable rating performance.

Broadcast on the 22nd, episode 11 reached the lowest viewer rating of 3.5%. After rising to 5.5% in episode 6, the drama’s ratings stayed in the range of 4% until it fell below that to the 3% range in episode 11.

Regarding the drop in drama ratings, viewers comments, “The content seems to be dragging too much”, “The stories of both dramas are getting boring”, “The main characters of the two dramas have become couples, so there’s nothing fun to watch now”, etc.

However, some Internet users gave different opinions, such as “‘King the Land’ ratings is about 9-10%. Isn’t it doing well?”, “The more I watch, the more interesting the stories become”, etc.
