SHINee Taemin and Key Disagree on Whether Friendship is Possible Between Men and Women (ft. Taeyeon)

SHINee’s Taemin and Key debate if men and women can be friends. Key mentions his close friendship with Taeyeon.

In the new video posted on SHINee’s official YouTube channel on July 22nd, SHINee’s Taemin, Key, and Minho discussed the topic of friendship between men and women. 

In SHINee’s song ‘One for Me’, there were lyrics about a man who receives a call from a woman saying she broke up with her boyfriend and secretly feels happy about it. Taemin and Key had different opinions on this.

Taemin called this behavior “flirting” and argued that there can’t be just friends between a man and a woman. However, Key revealed that he could even take a half bath with Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, emphasizing their close friendship.

In the past, on MBC’s ‘Infinite Challenge,’ Jang Joon Ha made a humorous comment about being able to take a half bath with his blind dates. Since then, the term “half bath” has become a meme in Korea, used to emphasize being very close friends.

When Taemin showed surprise, Key reiterated, “If I met someone and broke up, and then called Taemin, would that be considered flirting? It may not be.” Key stood by his viewpoint.

Minho, who was standing next to them, reacted with a funny face and burst into laughter while focusing solely on the lyrics.
