Kim Sung Kyun sends messages to Kang Tae Oh, who couldn’t attend “Target” movie press conference during military period

While serving in the military, Kang Tae Oh received an emotional video letter from fellow actor Kim Sung Kyun.

On the morning of August 9th, the press conference for the new movie “Target” (directed by Park Hee Gon) was held at Megabox Seongsu in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Director Park Hee Gon and the cast, including Shin Hye Sun, Kim Sung Kyun and Lee Joo Young, attended the event.

“Target” is a thriller about things that happen in the daily life of Soo Hyun as she becomes the target of a crime through secondhand transactions.

In this movie, Kim Sung Kyun appears as Detective Joo, a member of the Cyber Investigation Unit who is determined to investigate secondhand transactions till the end. Kang Tae Ho plays Detective Na, a junior detective who follows Detective Joo.

In fact, Kang Tae Oh enlisted in September last year, and is currently fulfilling his military service.

Therefore, Kim Sung Kyun gave an explanation about Detective Na instead of Kang Tae Oh, who was absent from the press conference. He said, “Detective Na is junior to Cyber Investigation Unit’s Detective Joo. He’s a reliable junior detective who handles cases passionately and sincerely. Detective Na sometimes grumbles and gets annoyed when receiving complaints from citizens, but he always listens to citizens attentively. He joins forces with Detective Joo in dealing with Soo Hyun (Shin Hye Sun)’s case and together they track down the criminal until the end.”

When asked to deliver a video letter to Kang Tae Oh, Kim Sung Kyun showed a sad expression and said, “Tae Oh ah. How are you doing after leaving your house and taking the train to the training center? Take care of your health in this hot weather and I hope you complete your military service duty well”. He added, “I’m just pretending to be emotional”, drawing laughter.
