Kim Joon: The Quiet “Boys Over Flowers” F4 Member with the Happiest Family Life

The classic Korean drama “Boys Over Flowers” from 2008 remains a “legend” closely tied to the youth of young people around the world. It was also the launching pad for Lee Min Ho, the male lead of the drama, to become an A-list star in the Korean entertainment industry. Additionally, Kim Joon, a singer/rapper from the group T-Max, gained significant attention alongside the popular “hot boys” of that time.

Before starring in “Boys Over Flowers” in 2008, Kim Joon debuted as a singer and rapper with the group T-Max in 2007. His group even performed the opening song for the drama called “Paradise.”

At the time of its release, social media platforms were not as powerful as they are today, but “Paradise” quickly became a sensation and received much love from the audience. Just hearing the first notes instantly brings back the childhood and youth memories of the 80s and 90s generations, leaving many feeling nostalgic. Even now, one of the most-viewed versions is the “Paradise (Lyrics)” video, with over 7.3 million views.

The lyrics version of the song has garnered over 7.3 million views in 5 years.

In 2009, Kim Joon released a solo music product in collaboration with Kim Hyun Joong – a fellow actor from “Boys Over Flowers” – with the MV “Jun Be Ok.” However, in 2011, T-Max officially disbanded, and he decided to focus on his acting career. His singing career concluded with just one song, but it was a hit that resonated throughout Asia.

Afterward, Kim Joon appeared in several dramas, variety shows, and even movies after “Boys Over Flowers,” such as “Detectives in Trouble,” “Endless Love,” and “City of the Sun,” but none garnered much attention.

Currently, Kim Joon has nearly retired from the music scene. The last stage where audiences could see him was at SBS Inkigayo in 2012. There, he performed “Jun Be Ok” – a product he collaborated on with Kim Hyun Joong, but he performed it solo. After this stage, audiences have rarely seen Kim Joon appear on any stage or release any new music.

He appeared in some dramas after “Boys Over Flowers.”

Although he is considered the most low-key member of F4 from “Boys Over Flowers,” Kim Joon has the most peaceful and happy personal life among the cast. In 2018, Kim Joon himself revealed that he secretly got married in 2015 to his girlfriend of 9 years. He is now a father of two, but his current looks still surprise many people.

When comparing the image of Kim Joon now to his appearance in “Boys Over Flowers” 16 years ago, there isn’t much difference. He has maintained his handsome, suave, and romantic look. Some photos of Kim Joon with his daughter even show moments where he looks younger than when he starred in “Boys Over Flowers.” Kim Joon’s “reverse aging” appearance has become a hot topic, with everyone fascinated by the actor’s looks at 40, 16 years after the drama.
