Kim Ji-won Nails Strong Character Makeup, Anticipation Soars for New Drama “Queen of Tears”

Kim Ji-won looks raises expectations for her upcoming drama

On November 8th, Kim Ji-won attended a photo wall event at a fashion jewelry brand’s collection 50th-anniversary exhibition in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.

Kim Ji-won displayed an urban and neutral charm in a white shirt, suit pants that flowed below her ankles, and a necktie. She enhanced this with cool-toned makeup, giving off chic and glamorous vibes. 

This has also piqued interest in Kim Ji-won’s next drama, ‘Queen of Tears’ (working title) by writer Park Ji-eun, and directors Jang Young-woo and Kim Hee-won.

Park Ji-eun is a star writer who has received global love for works like ‘My Love from the Star,’ ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea,’ and ‘Crash Landing on You.’ With directors Jang Young-woo (‘Crash Landing on You’) and Kim Hee-won (‘Little Women’) helming the project, expectations are high.

Kim Ji-won will be acting alongside Kim Soo-hyun. In ‘Queen of Tears’, Kim Ji-won plays Hong Hae-in, a third-generation heiress, also known as the ‘arrogant queen’ of Queens Department Store. Kim Soo-hyun takes on the role of Baek Hyun-woo, the pride of Yongdu-ri village and the legal affairs director of Queens Group. The miraculous love story of this couple overcoming dizzying crises, filled with Park Ji-eun’s trademark humor and the importance of family, is expected to be an emotional drama. It is scheduled for release in the second half of the year.
