“The Myth 2” is a sequel to “The Myth”, which was released in 2005. Archeologist Jack keeps having reoccurring dreams of a past life, where he is the great General Meng who has sworn to protect a Korean Princess named Ok Soo. When his old friend William returns to his life telling scientific tales of a levitating Holy man in India, they decide to go investigating Indiana Jones style. However, when Lee stumbles on (more like almost gets crusted by) a tomb revealing a painting of the Princess from his dream, he begins unraveling the true connection between his past life and his current. Jackie Chan played Jack, Kim Hee Sun played Ok Soo and Tony Leung Ka-fai played William. At that time, “The Myth” earned $120 million (about 158.8 billion won) worldwide, imprinting Kim Hee Sun on fans around the world. Kim Hee Sun became close friends with Jackie Chan through this movie.
“The Myth” 2, which will be produced 18 years after the release of “The Myth”, is a masterpiece that costs $50 million (about 66.7 billion won). Following the prequel, Jackie Chan will play archeologist Jack.
As Kim Hee Sun makes a friendship appearance in “The Myth 2”, attention is focused on what kind of connection her character will have with “The Myth”.
