Kim Hee Sun, “I feel sorry seeing my daughter Yeon Ah worrying about causing damage to mom’s celebrity image”

Actress Kim Hee Sun expressed extraordinary affection for her daughter Yeon Ah.

Kim Hee Sun mentioned her daughter during a recent interview with HeraldPOP at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Kim Hee Sun got married in 2007 and has one daughter. With her real-life experience, she perfectly portrayed mother-daughter chemistry in her recently released movie “Honeysweet”, which marked her comeback on the big screen after 20 years.

Introducing her character, Kim Hee Sun said, “Il Young is a mother who is also like a friend and she’s more like a child than her daughter. That’s why the child is like a premature kid”, adding “Since the two only have each other and they are very close, Il Young seems to accept things easily without feeling hurt”.

The actress continued, “In reality, I’m actually a mother like a friend, too. My daughter is even more mature than me”.

She confessed, “I feel a little sad sometimes. My daughter is in her second year of middle school (grade 8), but she already has the mindset of an adult. I feel sorry when seeing my daughter worrying about her mother and acting carefully so that she would not cause damage to her mother’s image even a little bit”, adding “I realized that it was the burden that all children of celebrities have”.

Meanwhile, Kim Hee Sun’s new film “Honeysweet” tells about Chi Ho (Yoo Hae Jin), a genius confectionery researcher who knows nothing apart from snacks, meeting Il Young (Kim Hee Sun), a woman with a positive mind who only go straight forward, and facing changes to taste life in various ways. It’s currently screened in cinema.
