During the event, Ji Sung was asked why he chose to participate in “Connection”. He responded, “I was drawn to the unique planning and writing skills of the writer. I considered what could set this apart from my previous works, but it was difficult to predict the direction until filming began.”

He added, “As I worked on this drama, I felt I had matured and possessed a different kind of energy. The concept of a narcotics detective becoming addicted to drugs was new. I was curious about how to portray that. The script was excellent, and the composition of various characters was well done. I was also interested in the ensemble of many actors.”

The first episode of “Connection”, which aired on May 24th, recorded a viewership rating of 5.7% according to Nielsen Korea.
