SBS’s entertainment program “Running Man” broadcast on December 24th featured the guest appearance of TXT and Kim Dong-hyun for the Christmas special.
As soon as Kim Dong-hyun appeared, he aimed to take over Ji Seok-jin’s position. When Haha said, “When you’re watching this broadcast, Ji Seok-jin is taking a break due to anxiety”, Kim Dong-hyun commented, “I’m worried about him. So please recover slowly”, drawing laughter.
Yoo Jae-suk said, “Ji Seok-jin’s heart condition goes back and forth. He said, ‘At times like this, I’ll take a break and recover slowly’, but the next day, he would say ‘But I’m feeling okay?’”. Kim Dong-hyun replied, “He felt okay because he took medicine. But it’ll take a long time to recover”.
Yoo Jae-suk then made a video call with Ji Seok-jin. Upon seeing Ji Seok-jin, the members began teasing him. Yoo Jae-suk said, “I’m trying to get a position for Kim Dong-hyun”. Startled by the sudden announcement, Ji Seok-jin said, “My condition is recovering so I’m wondering if I should cancel the articles (about taking a break)”.
Yoo Jae-suk continued teasing Ji Seok-jin, saying “We’ve been discussing making Kim Dong-hyun a semi-fixed cast member”, adding “I’ve been receiving many calls”.
Hearing that, Ji Seok-jin left a message to “Running Man” viewers, saying “Don’t worry too much. I’ll be back very soon. I think I will only have a short break, so please wait for a little while. I’ll go on the show and let you see Big Nose again”, promising to make a comeback.
