Actress Jeon Yeo-bin expressed her feelings as the host of the opening ceremony of the 27th Busan International Film Festival.
Jeon Yeo-bin will host the opening ceremony of the 27th Busan International Film Festival at the Busan Film Center with actor Ryu Jun-yeol this afternoon (Oct 5th).
Through her agency mmm, Jeon Yeo-bin said, “It is an honor for me to join hands in opening the door to the Busan International Film Festival, Asia’s largest film festival. In addition, I was thrilled to hear that the Busan International Film Festival will be held offline for the first time in more than three years after the pandemic, which was difficult to guess when it would end. I would like to replace that emotion with gratitude, and with the responsibility of a member of the festival, I would like to happily welcome you to the event,” she said, expressing her feelings of being the host along with her affection for the film festival.
“My first time here was with Moon So-ri as a part of the team of the short story ‘The Best Director’, and I remember coming here again later as a part of director Kim Eui-seok’s featured movie ‘After My Death’. It is a place that reminds me of the passion and excitement, my first feelings, and my first love towards movies and acting. The Busan International Film Festival always reminds me of that feeling because it was filled with my clumsy and sincere days. It is also a place where I meet, see, hear, and feel a vast world of films and filmmakers, and get infinite inspiration and passion,” she said, expressing his extraordinary affection for the Busan International Film Festival.
This year, Jeon Yeo-bin is scheduled to meet the audience again as the host of the opening ceremony of the Busan International Film Festival, as well as through the Netflix series “Glitch,” which is scheduled to be released on October 7th in the on-screen section.
Jeon Yeo-bin said, “I participated in the Busan International Film Festival with ‘Paradise Night’ last year. At that time, when I saw the cool series shown in the on-screen section of the newly opened program, I hoped that ‘Glitch’ would have such a good opportunity to be able to greet the audience for the first time through that section. To my delight, that dream came true. I’m excited and happy,” she said, announcing her relationship with “Glitch” and the Busan International Film Festival.
Finally, Jeon said, “I would like to invite you to the 27th Busan International Film Festival, a Sea of Movies that is returning after three years. We will be waiting and looking forward to seeing you again at this big festival, where shiny films and filmmakers gather,” sending an invitation to the audience to visit the festival.
Meanwhile, the 27th Busan International Film Festival will be held in the area of the Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu for 10 days from Oct 5th to Oct 14th.
