Actress Jeon So-min will leave SBS’s “Running Man” after today’s (October 30th) recording
On October 23rd, Jeon So-min’s agency King Kong by Starship and “Running Man” officially announced, “Jeon So-min will leave ‘Running Man’ after the upcoming recording on October 30th (Monday).“
The agency explained the reason for her departure, “The actress considered this decision very carefully because she has been with the program for a long time. After a long discussion with ‘Running Man’ members, the production team and our agency, Jeon So-min decided that she would spend time recharging herself so that she could show better performances, including acting, in the future.”
Regarding this, the “Running Man” side stated, “We had long discussions about finding a way for Jeon So-min to continue with the program, but we respect Jeon So-min’s decision to part ways, which we find regrettable.“
The “Running Man” team expressed their deep gratitude to Jeon So-min, who brightened the program as a longtime member, and asked viewers for their warm support and encouragement for her difficult decision. They also promised to continue supporting Jeon So-min as an eternal member.
With this, Jeon So-min leaves “Running Man” after 6 years of activity. She joined “Running Man” as a new member in April 2017 and received a lot of love from viewers with her quirky and lovable character. In 2017, she achieved three awards, including “Rookie Award, Variety” and “Best Couple Award” at the SBS Entertainment Awards. In 2018, she won “Top Excellence Award in Variety Category” at the SBS Entertainment Awards.
