At Dearcloud’s Christmas concert held in December and Jung Joon Il’s concert “Winter” held in January, several audiences received resale tickets with the same seat on the same day, making it difficult to proceed with the concert. Therefore, the police had to intervene.

The suspect, known as Park, reportedly scammed buyers by forging reservation receipts and tickets with seats without reservation, and then receiving money from several people before disappearing. M.Y Music cooperated with the victims and encouraged them to report the incident in order to resolve the case.

In addition to Jung Joon Il and Dearcloud, suspect Park was found to have scammed concert tickets of other artists, such as IU, Youngtak, Park Hyo Shin, Younha, 10cm, Ailee, Jaurim, YB, Kang Hyung Ho, Soran, HYNN, etc.

In this regard, M.Y Music CEO Yoon Dong Hwan said, “Fortunately, the perpetrator, who had caused great damage to many people, has been punished because the victims have actively reported the incident. I believe that this ruling will be a warning to all ticket scammers who want to exploit the loyalty of fans. Our company plans to proceed with a lawsuit for damages caused by obstruction of business, and we will make efforts to establish legal precedents that can punish ticket scalpers, in order to create practical measures to eradicate such illegal acts.”

Meanwhile, CEO Yoon Dong Hwan is concurrently serving as the president of the Record Label Industry Association of Korea (LIAK). LIAK has conducted a survey on illegal ticket transactions and has been actively involved in eradicating ticket scalping. On the YouTube channel “연투유TV”, they directly meet ticket scalpers, uncovering their scams and organized entities.
