IU Sold Out 2024 World Tour As Soon As Reservation Opened, Proving Global Power
Singer and actress IU proved her ticket power in the global world.
According to IU’s agency EDAM Entertainment on March 9th, out of 18 cities where “2024 IU H.E.R. WORLD TOUR CONCERT” will be held, all tickets were sold out in Yokohama, Taipei, North America (Newark, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Rosemond, Oakland, Los Angeles) and Jakarta.
Earlier, after IU’s world tour was announced, not only Korean UAENA (IU’s fandom name) but also overseas UAENA cheered enthusiastically for the news, realizing the keen interest of global fans toward her. After the “Love, Poem” tour in 2019, IU revisits many cities and added new places as well, raising excitement and expectation.
In particular, IU’s Taiwan concert recorded an explosive figure of up to 700,000 simultaneous access in a reservation held on March 6th. After the sell-out, influential local media outlets such as Taipei Report, CTS NEWS, and TVBS NEWS drew attention by covering the titles such as “Korea’s Music Empress IU’s Tickets Sold Out.”
In addition, all seats in her North America concerts were sold out in 10 minutes, drawing keen attention even though it was IU’s first visit as a solo artist, showing her status in the global market. The Jakarta concert’s reservation, which was held on the 8th, also proved fans’ expectations for the concert with 630,000 simultaneous accesses.
Meanwhile, IU’s Osaka concert will hold the second advance reservation from the 8th to the 17th, and Singapore’s will be held on the 15th. Detailed reservation information for Hong Kong, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, London, Berlin and Bangkok will be opened sequentially.
