IU released a video titled “IU’s first commercial shoot behind-the-scenes” through her YouTube channel “IU Official” on Dec 25th.
IU shared footage of herself preparing for the commercial shoot and casually began self-spoiling about her new album and plans for the next year. She said, “My upcoming title song is not three letters long. The song I recorded yesterday… Spirit! Koreans have the spirit. I expressed the spirit unconsciously. After recording, I listened to it and was like ‘Whoa’.“
In particular, IU shared, “Once it becomes January, I’ll go abroad. I’ll spend most of my time abroad in January. I want to express new things and many different things in the new album, so I’ll wrap it up in other countries. I’ll be abroad most of next year. I really love Korea, but I’ll be abroad for a very fun work. I’m half worried and half excited.”
Besides, IU gave a thumbs-up regarding her music video featuring BTS’s V. She confessed, “When I was shooting the MV, it was so good, the tone and mood. Even without any CG, it was great. Something that you’ve never seen in IU’s MVs. One and only.“
When the staff member asked “Didn’t you try to run away back then?”, IU replied, “To be honest, I tried. But I got a flat tire. What’s funnier is V got a flat tire first. So I was like, ‘Let’s run away.’ But my car got a flat tire, too. I think they planted something like glass on the site so that we could not get away.“
