On September 8, Ibuki addressed fans through her personal social media, writing: “I’m truly sorry I couldn’t participate in the Seoul concert, which I had wanted to join. I sincerely apologize for failing to keep the promise we made to meet again after our victory.”
She continued, “The concert organizers demanded a contract in a situation where I had no right to speak as an artist. Because of this, I’ve hired a Korean lawyer to discuss the future of the concerts.”
Explaining further, Ibuki said, “The organizers unilaterally announced that I would not be attending the Busan concert without any formal discussion with me, which is why I had to release this statement.”
She admitted the risk of going public: “I feared that announcing this conflict might negatively affect Osaka Ojo Gang members or disrupt fans’ enjoyment of the Seoul concert, which is why I said nothing earlier. In the end, it resulted in me being absent without explanation.”
Apologizing again, Ibuki added: “Most of all, I’m sorry for burdening my fellow members. I hope the organizers will cooperate so I can safely join upcoming concerts.”
Meanwhile, the production team for the World of Street Woman Fighter nationwide concert tour released a statement the same day, claiming: “Ibuki will not attend the Busan concert at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium on September 13 due to health reasons. All other members will perform as scheduled.”
Ibuki strongly expressed her displeasure with this notice, accusing the organizers of making the announcement without consulting her and exposing the conflict publicly.
Ibuki rose to fame as the leader of Osaka Ojo Gang, which won first place in July’s finale of Mnet’s World of Street Woman Fighter. The show brought together dancers from five countries—including Korea, the U.S., Japan, Australia, and New Zealand—in a global dance survival competition. Following its broadcast success, the program has been hosting concerts in Korea to continue the momentum.
Her absence at the September 7 Seoul concert at Jamsil Arena sparked curiosity and concern among fans, now clarified through her statement.
