Moon Seung-yoo appeared in episode 6 of tvN’s Bon Appétit, Your Majesty on September 7 as Ya Feixiu, a Ming Dynasty court chef. With dazzling cooking performances and piercing eyes, she captivated viewers from the start.
Ya Feixiu is portrayed as the niece and protégé of Tang Bailong (Jo Jae-yoon), the head chef of the Ming Dynasty. Known as the “Goddess of Sichuan Cuisine,” she creates new traditions by combining Sichuan and regional dishes. Moon impressed with her fluent Chinese and detailed acting, drawing praise for her refined portrayal.

In the latest episode, Ya Feixiu displayed martial arts-like cooking skills while preparing dishes for Yu Kun (Kim Hyung-mook), who struggled with Joseon cuisine. Later, she stunned viewers during a spontaneous leek-chopping duel with palace chefs, showing overwhelming knife skills and signaling the rise of a formidable rival of Yeon Ji-young (played by Im Yoona).
Tension escalated further when Ya Feixiu received a damaged Chinese kitchen knife from Yeon Ji-young ahead of a high-stakes cooking contest that could determine the fate of both Joseon and Ming. With this, Moon Seung-yoo’s character emerged as a central figure in driving the drama’s suspense.

After the broadcast, viewers flooded online forums with comments such as: “Perfect casting choice,” “Who is this actress playing the Sichuan goddess?” “The youngest chef is so pretty,” and “She’s really beautiful.”
Moon Seung-yoo debuted in 2018 with the short film Black Flower. She has since built her career with appearances in KBS1’s Be My Dream Family (2021), MBC’s The Golden Spoon (2022), KBS2’s Heartbeat (2023), and tvN’s Wedding Impossible (2024). Notably, she gained recognition in MBC’s Knight Flower by playing the younger version of Honey Lee’s character Jo Yeo-hwa.
With each project, Moon continues to reinvent herself, drawing increasing attention as one of the most promising rising actresses.
