“I hope we’ll be remembered…” Heartbreaking words of a female idol whose group just disbanded after 7 years

After 7 years of promotions, DIA has now officially disbanded.

On September 15th, E-Daily reported an exclusive interview with DIA’s Yebin following the group’s disbandment. Yebin said, “I still don’t feel like our promotions are over. I hope that DIA will be remembered as a group that always shined on stage.”

Yebin went on to express her great regret, saying, “Honestly, I still can’t believe it. I go to our fan cafe several times a day to check the fans’ reactions and read the members’ handwritten farewell letters. I cry because I feel empty and emotional. I didn’t think about the end of our activities when I debuted. I never imagined what disbandment would be like. I only thought it was something that had nothing to do with us.”

She continued, “I hope the fans aren’t too upset. I want them to see that we are working hard in our individual activities in our respective places. We are still DIA and AID in the future, so I would appreciate it if you continue to support us.”

Yebin also revealed that DIA members promised to reunite and perform again as a full group when a good opportunity comes in the distant future.

DIA’s agency Pocket Dol Studio announced on September 15th, “After 7 years of working together, DIA’s exclusive contract with the company will expire on September 17th. Previously scheduled music show activities were inevitably canceled due to the injury of member Jung Chaeyeon.”

Earlier, Jung Chaeyeon was diagnosed with a collarbone fracture and concussion after she fell down the stairs while filming MBC’s new drama “The Golden Spoon”. She underwent surgery on September 13th and is reportedly recovering now.
