Idol-actor Hwang Minhyun has confirmed his appearance in the upcoming K-drama “Useless Lies”, where he will be co-starring with actress Kim So Hyun.
On November 28, Hwang Minhyun’s agency, Pledis Entertainment announced, “Hwang Minhyun will appear in the new drama ‘Useless Lies’ as Kim Do Ha.”
Set to air in 2023, “Useless Lies” is a mystery romance about a woman who can’t trust people because of her ability to hear lies and uncover the truth. She then gets entangled with a murder case and deems a suspect, with no one believing in her innocence.
After Kim So Hyun confirmed her appearance and raised expectations, Hwang Minhyun also joined the cast, completing a high-anticipated lineup. In particular, Hwang Minhyun takes on the role of Kim Do Ha, one of the best-known composers and producers in Korea with an unveiled secret.
At the same time, Kim Do Ha was a murder suspect in the past and so has to hide his existence from the world. He falls in love with Mok Sol Hee (Kim So Hyun), the girl next door who seems to see through everything.
On the other hand, Hwang Minhyun is appearing in the tvN drama “Alchemy of Soul” season 2, which will be broadcast for the first time on December 10th.
