Hwang Min Hyun’s still cuts from “Alchemy of Souls 2” released: A crisis comes to Seo Yul? 

Hwang Min Hyun is returning in “Alchemy of Souls 2” as a nobleman driven to the brink of despair.

On November 24th, tvN’s “Alchemy of Souls 2” released the first still cuts of Hwang Min Hyun, who plays Seo Yul. 

Written by “Hotel Del Luna” writers, the Hong sisters, “Alchemy of Souls 2” is a fantasy romance drama set in the fictional country of Daeho. It depicts the growth of the main characters whose fates are twisted due to the soul-changing magical spell.

The first season of “Alchemy of Souls” ended earlier this August. Jang Wook (Lee Jae Wook) comes back alive from death. Season 2 deals with the story of the magicians who unfold anew after three years.

In the newly released stills, Hwang Min Hyun expresses regret as he struggles with an unknown crisis. Something different about him from before is felt. 

Hwang Min Hyun is expected to show off more presence in “Alchemy of Souls 2”. He plays an active role going back and forth between a nobleman in crisis and a heartfelt innocent man who still holds onto his first love.

The production team of “Alchemy of Souls 2” hinted, “Hwang Min Hyun will perfectly portray Seo Yul in crisis with deeper eyes and emotional acting.”

They added, “Especially, as Seo Yul spent his childhood with Nak Soo, please look forward to his future development as to what kind of relationship he will have with the woman who lost her memory with the face of Nak Soo.”

On the other hand, in “Alchemy of Souls 2”, Go Yoon Jung appears as the new female lead. She plays “a mysterious woman with the face of falling water”. “Alchemy of Souls 2” will premiere at 9:10 pm KST on December 10th.
