Actor Park Bo-gum will be the MC of the Patriotic Concert for 3 consecutive times.
On May 9th, Blossom Entertainment, Park Bo-gum‘s agency, posted a poster on Instagram along with the caption saying, “Guidelines for admission to the 2022 Republic of Korea Navy Patriotic Concert.” In the meantime, they announced that Park Bo-gum was chosen as the concert’s MC. The concert will be held at Jangchung Municipal Stadium in Seoul on May 19th, and announcer Kang Ah-rang will be the co-MC.
Park Bo-gum served as a cultural promotion soldier in the navy military band from August 31st last year, and was discharged on April 30th. After enlisting in the Navy, he was in charge of hosting the Patriotic Concert twice in 2020 and 2021. Even after he was discharged from the military, he will be the MC again this time. It is not common to take an active role in military-related events after leaving the military.
Park Bo-gum was so choked with emotion that he burst into tears while holding a ceremony to commemorate the West Sea Defense Day on March 26th last year.
