Han So-hee said she still didn’t know people like her so much in new interview with Star News
Interview with Han Sohee, the winner of Best Artist Award at the 2021 Asia Artist Award (2021 AAA).
Han So-hee (27 years old) has been working as an actress for five years but is already the one of most prominent actresses of her age. Han So-hee, who caught the public’s eyes for her passionate acting against Kim Hee-ae in the 2020 JTBC drama “The World of the Married,” won the Best New Artist Award at the 2020 AAA. The actress then challenged herself with youth romance and noir action dramas such as JTBC’s “Nevertheless” and Netflix’s “My Name” last year, expanding her range of genres and winning the Best Artist Award at the 2021 AAA (2021 Asian Artist Awards).
Han So-hee, who diligently built her own filmography, is mentioned by the industry and the public as the “most anticipated actress in her 20s” five years after her debut. What does she think her own charm is? Han So-hee said, “I’m not sure yet what my charm is and what kind of appearance you see me in a good way. Rather, it seems more difficult as the year goes by. As I don’t know what charm of mine that you always like is, I’m trying to fill up the time as steadily and diligently as I do now.”
When asked what kind of actress she wants to grow into in the future, Han So-hee said, “I want to express the works given to me and the characters and situations I have to express in them more resolutely and carefully. Also, it won’t be easy, but I want to be an actress who knows how to enjoy the pressure that comes from the process.”
We wonder what kind of things give her a rest while busy working as the most notable rookie actress in Korea. Han So-hee said, “When I work, I am often in a busy and crowded situation. As a result, when I am not working, I often feel the emptiness that comes from the gap. So I usually practice enduring my own time and not mistaking rest for boredom, and focus on maintaining composure and stretching the muscles of my mind that I can endure.”
In addition to acting, Han So-hee, who majored in art, also posts pictures depicting her own deep sensibility on SNS, raising people’s expectation for her future artistic activities. When asked about activities in other areas, Han So-hee said, “I always thank those who like and wait for my writings and paintings. A good opportunity may come, but I still want to focus a little more on acting,” expressing her plan to focus on her acting career.
