Shin Dong Yup and Han Ga In visited Ssangmun-dong to meet the family and shared their childhood stories against the nostalgic backdrop of Ssangmun-dong.

Looking back on his childhood, Shin Dong Yup said, “I was a playful kid who studied quite hard as I was influenced by my father. He was a teacher.” He revealed an anecdote that he witnessed his father being scolded by his boss when he went to the school where his father worked.

Shin Dong Yup touchingly confessed, “I was startled when I first saw my father, who was like a mountain to me, being scolded by someone. I kept crying, but I went to see my father after washing my face at the tap to avoid being caught. Since that day, I have grown up. I am grateful to my father.”

On the other hand, Han Ga In praised herself, saying, “When I was young, I was filial daughter Ga In. When I received pocket money, I collected it all in my pocket, and when it was full, I gave it to my mother. I thought I should help my mother too.”
