GRAMMY raised fans’ expectations for the meeting between BTS V and jazz artist John Batiste

The Grammy Award is drawing attention as they enthusiastically responded to the meeting between BTS V and American jazz singer Jon Batiste.

Are you Kim Taehyung?”, along with a photo of V, raising expectations from fans.

John Batiste is a world-class jazz artist who has participated in the composition and arrangement of jazz music in Pixar’s 2020 animation film “Soul”. As the composer of “Soul”, he won the 2021 American Academy Music Award, the BAFTA Film Award and the Golden Globe Music Award.

V also picked jazz as one of his favorite music genres and has recommended many jazz songs and jazz-related movies to fans. In an interview with the Grammy Museum in 2018, when asked what his favorite music genre is and what genre he wants to challenge, V replied, “Jazz”. The male idol also added, “I want to do jazz with my members. I think it would be so great if we add melody and rap”, showing his love for jazz.

In the reality program “BTS In the Soop”, V also tried trumpet lessons. He said, “I like trumpet artist Chet Baker so much that I searched for all of his movies and music. I think I have wanted to learn the trumpet since 4-5 years ago”.
