Go Yoon Jung has been cast as the lead in the new drama from director Shin Won Ho, who directed “Hospital Playlist” and the “Reply” series.
An entertainment industry insider revealed on July 5th to JTBC Entertainment News, “Go Yoon Jung recently had a meeting with the production team. They discussed her joining the new project.“
Go Yoon Jung made her debut in 2019 with the drama “He is Psychometric” and solidified her position as a rising star by starring in Netflix series “Sweet Home,” JTBC drama “Law School,” movie “Hunt,” and tvN drama “Alchemy of Souls.”
Go Yoon Jung is also set to appear in Disney+’s original series “Moving” released in August. There is great interest in how she will synergize with director Shin Won Ho and leave a strong impression through the upcoming drama.
Shin Won Ho will participate in the new project not as a director but as a creator. Auditions were conducted in secrecy for some actors. The details of the drama are currently kept under wraps to the extent that even the actors who auditioned were not informed about specific information related to the production.
There were speculations about it being a spin-off or a prequel to “Hospital Playlist,” but CJ ENM Studios clarified, “While it is true that director Shin Won Ho is participating as a creator in planning and developing a new drama, it is still in the early planning stages. It is neither a prequel nor a spin-off.“
