G-Dragon & Lee Jin-wook’s Police Summons Similarities: Confident Smiles And Relaxed Appearances
Like Lee Jin-wook, G-Dragon also showed a relaxed expression when attending the police investigation
At around 1:20 p.m. (KST) on November 6th, G-Dragon faced reporters when he made his voluntary appearance at the police station for the first summons on drug charges.
Showing up in front of reporters with his unique way of walking and stretching pose, G-Dragon said, “The drug allegations are not true at all. I came here to prove it. There’s nothing much to say, I’ll quickly return after attending the investigation”. When asked, “When did you dye or bleach your hair?”, the male singer said, “I never did it”. Denying his involvement in the entertainment establishment in the allegation, G-Dragon asked, “Can I go inside to receive the investigation now?”.
As reporters asked G-Dragon to say something to his fans, he smirked and hesitated for a few seconds then said, “Don’t worry too much. I’ll return after completing the investigation”. G-Dragon then passed the photo line and headed inside the police station with a relaxed expression.
In response to G-Dragon’s voluntary attendance of police summons, netizens in online communities pointed out that it was similar to when Lee Jin-wook attended the police investigation on a false sexual assault accusation against him.
In July 2016, Lee Jin-wook was sued for sexual assault and appeared for the police summon three days after articles broke out. At that time, the actor stood in front of Suseo Police Station in Seoul and said, “That person seems to think it’s easy to falsely accuse someone by revealing their face but making false accusations is a very serious crime. I’ll come out after the investigation”. Facing reporters, Lee Jin-wook smiled and stayed silent for a while.
In the end, the person who sued Lee Jin-wook admitted to making false accusations and was sentenced to 8 months in prison with a probation of two years. However, A was not actually imprisoned considering the fact that she did not have the intention to extort money.
