G-Dragon stood in front of reporters when attending the first police summons for drug investigation
On October 6th, G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong, 35) and his lawyer made their voluntary appearance at the Nohyeon Police Station in Incheon for the drug investigation conducted by the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Division.
This is G-Dragon’s first appearance in public for the first time after the drug scandal broke out on October 22nd. Ever since reports regarding his drug allegation emerged, the male idol has denied it many times.
Showing up in a blue shirt, suit jacket, and glasses, G-Dragon answered questions from reporters before entering the police station.
When asked, “Do you admit to taking drugs?”, G-Dragon said, “The drug allegations are not true at all. The reason I came here is to prove it. There’s nothing much to say, I’ll quickly return after attending the investigation.”
Regarding the question, “You denied the allegations. Do you think this police investigation is unreasonable?”, he replied, “You should wait and see it”.
When asked, “When did you dye your hair or cut your hair?”, G-Dragon firmly said, “I never did it”. He continued to repeat, “Just wait and see the investigation result”, to the question asking if he had ever gone to the entertainment establishment in Gangnam.
As the reporters mentioned the entertainment establishment director and the doctor accused of being the drug supplier, G-Dragon said, “I have nothing to do with them.”
Receiving the request, “Please say something to your fans”, G-Dragon smirked and looked into the air for a few seconds. He said, “Don’t worry too much, everyone. I’ll return after completing the investigation”, then entered the police station.
The police plan to conduct a simple drug test on G-Dragon to check whether he took drugs or not and collect his urine and hair for a thorough examination from the National Forensic Service. They will also obtain G-Dragon’s mobile phone through his voluntary submission and investigate his relationship with the mentioned entertainment establishment director and doctor.
