From Song Kang to NCT’s Taeyong “Leave fans for a while to fulfill military duties”

On March 21st, the agency Companion Company of VIXX’s Hyuk (real name Han Sang-hyuk) stated, “Hyuk will enter the training camp on April 18th. Until he completes his national defense duties and returns, we ask for a lot of support and encouragement for Hyuk.”

As the youngest member of the group born in 1995, Hyuk will be the last to fulfill his military duty within the team. After entering the training camp on April 18th, Hyuk will complete basic military training then begin alternative service as a public service worker.

Before entering the training camp, Hyuk will hold the “2024 Hyuk Fan Concert ‘HOME'” at the Grand Hall of Woonjung Green Campus, Sungshin Women’s University on March 30th to meet his fans for the last time.

Actor Kim Min-kyu’s military enlistment news was previously announced on March 20th.

At that time, Kim Min-kyu‘s agency Companion Company stated, “Kim Min-kyu will enlist as an active-duty soldier on April 1st. There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment at the training center. Please understand that he will enlist quietly to prevent safety issues caused by congestion at the site.”

Turning 30 this year, Kim Min-kyu received much love for his role in the 2022 drama “Business Proposal” and tvN’s drama “The Heavenly Idol” last year.

Actor Song Kang, who is of the same age with Kim Min-kyu, announced his enlistment on February 29th. His agency Namoo Actors stated “Song Kang will enlist as an active-duty soldier on April 2nd” and asked for understanding that he would enlist quietly to prevent safety accidents due to on-site congestion.

Although he will temporarily leave his fans due to military enlistment, Song Kang will meet the public for a while through Netflix’s original series “Sweet Home Season 3” and Mnet’s “I-Land 2”, which were filmed before enlistment.

NCT’s Taeyong will also enlist as an active-duty soldier.

On March 18th, Taeyong’s agency SM Entertainment stated, “Taeyong will enlist in the navy on April 15th. There will be no separate official event on the day of his entry into the training camp, and we ask for understanding that he will enter privately to prevent safety accidents.”

Thus, Taeyong becomes the first NCT member to temporarily leave his fans and have a hiatus for military service.
