Kim Min-kyu To Enlist On April 1st Quietly For Safety Issues

Companion Company announced Kim Min-kyu’s enlistment on their official fancafe at 9 a.m. on March 20th.

The agency stated, “Actor Kim Min-kyu will enlist on April 1st. There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment at the training center. Please understand that he will enlist quietly to prevent safety issues caused by congestion at the site”, adding “We ask fans to continue loving and supporting Kim Min-kyu so that he can faithfully fulfill his military service and return with a more mature and healthy appearance”.

Kim Min-kyu debuted in 2013 in tvN’s drama “Monstar”. Later, he emerged as a rising star after proving his delicate acting skills and diverse image transformations through various works such as “Signal”, “Because This Is My First Life”, “Perfume”, “Queen: Love and War”, “Backstreet Rookie”, “Snowdrop”, etc.

In particular, Kim Min-kyu became a next-generation star with his excellent portrayal of the character Cha Sung-hoon, a friendly and loyal chief of staff, in the 2022 drama “Business Proposal”. Last year, he continued to gain huge love by playing two roles at once in “The Heavenly Idol”.

The actor also showed off his unique charm through photos of his cats and sketches through a collaboration with graffiti artist M.Chat and a donation exhibition. Recently, he became a regular cast of ENA and Channel S’s entertainment program “I Am Ground” and impressed viewers with his witty talks and good sense of entertainment.

Kim Min-kyu will complete all his schedules by the end of March and begin preparing for his enlistment.
