Former “Running Man” PD shared a behind-the-scenes story of Kim Jong-kook and Song Ji-hyo during the show filming in the past.
Hidden stories about singer Kim Jong-kook and actress Song Ji-hyo have recently been revealed.
On February 17th, Kim Jong-kook uploaded a video titled, “Chicken Leg Day… (feat. boneless attack)”, on his Youtube channel “Kim Jong-kook GYM JONG KOOK”. Kim Jong-kook began the video by saying, “I prepared a behind-the-scenes talk with a mukbang fairy, who used to work for ‘Running Man’”.
In the video, Kim Jong-kook organized a chicken mukbang with the former staff of SBS’s entertainment show “Running Man”. Moreover, he also mentioned some behind-the-scenes during the filming of the show in the past.
Kim Jong-kook said, “The ‘Running Man’ episode we keep recalling is the New Zealand episode. We had a blast while filming at that time. He (PD Hwan-jin) was our main producer back then”.
PD Hwan-jin shared, “Can I say something? The viewership rating was 10% back then”. When Kim Jong-kook asked, “When?”, the PD replied, “When you were riding upside down the Nevis Swing with Ji-hyo”.
PD Hwan-in continued, “I have a fun anecdote”, adding, “The Nevis Swing is really scary. I persuaded them to ride it upside down to make it more fun. Ji-hyo was so scared but she made it because you (Jong-kook) rode it with her. We all applauded Ji-hyo once the two landed”.
A twist was also revealed. PD Hwan-jin said, “But suddenly one of the camera staff trembled and said, ‘I forgot to press the record button (of the GoPro camera around ‘Running Man’ members’ head to film their faces)’. I then confessed to Jihyo, ‘Ji-hyo, I’m sorry but we forgot to press record’”. Kim Jong-kook smiled and said, “When we were buying souvenirs, right?”.
The broadcast scene of when Kim Jong-kook and Song Ji-hyo took a ride on the Nevis Swing for the second time was showed. Kim Jong-kook said, “I still remember that scene clearly”.
Kim Jong-kook and Song Ji-hyo are currently appearing together as main cast members of SBS’s entertainment show “Running Man”.
