Earlier, Kang Daniel‘s side filed a lawsuit against malicious commenters with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station in 2021, announcing a strong legal response.

Konnect Entertainment, which was established by Kang Daniel in 2019, currently houses artists such as CL, Chancellor, and former Girlfriend member Yuju.

Below is the full statement from Kang Daniel’s company released on April 17th:

“Hello, this is Konnect Entertainment.

We would like to express our deep gratitude for the warm interest and love that fans always send to our artists.

Our company has been strictly dealing with false rumors, defamation, and defamation of character related to our artists for a long time.

Recently, based on evidence collected through fans’ reports and our own legal team’s monitoring, we have submitted multiple lawsuits to law enforcement agencies.

The suspect in question received legal punishment last month. Continuously spreading false information and damaging the artist’s reputation, the suspect was ultimately convicted of defamation. Defamation is punishable by imprisonment for up to one year, a fine of up to 2 million won, or both.

We would like to emphasize once again that spreading false information, malicious distortion, and malicious posting for the purpose of defamation against others is a clear criminal act that damages personal dignity and honor, causing emotional pain.

We promise to take all necessary legal procedures to ensure stronger and stricter punishment against criminal acts. We will not stop our strong response to crimes unless the irrational attacks against our artists are eliminated.

We ask for fans’ continuous reporting, interest, and support through Konnect’s official accounts.

Konnect Entertainment will make continuous efforts to protect the rights of our artists.

Thank you.”
