On Jan 17th (local time), YouTube announced on its official blog that fans can enjoy world-class BLACKPINK’s performance right from their home.

In this announcement, YouTube said, “YouTube and Goldenvoice announce a multi-year renewal of their exclusive livestream and content partnership for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival through 2026.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is a music festival held in Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert, California, United States. In Korea, K-POP musicians such as BLACKPINK, Epik High, Hyukoh, 2NE1, Yoon Mi Rae, Bibi, and aespa are names that have been invited to this most recognized music festival in North America.

This year, BLACKPINK, GOT7’s Jackson Wang, DJ and producer Yaeji, hip-hop crew DPR LIVE and Ian are invited, enhancing the status of K-musicians.

In particular, BLACKPINK will be on stage as a headliner this time. Being a Coachella headliner is an honor that has only been given to top artists such as Radiohead, Coldplay, Bjork, and Prince. BLACKPINK is the first Asian artist to perform as a headliner.
