EXO’s Kai opens the first Blue Dragon Series Awards with his first award… “He didn’t win the award with only his appearance”

EXO member Kai won Best New Male Entertainer at the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards.

On the evening of July 19th, EXO’s official Instagram account posted several photos to congratulate Kai on winning an award. Along with the caption “#KAI #EXO #weareoneEXO #Blue Dragon Series Awards #Best New Male Entertainer”, EXO’s staff added a trophy emoticon and a bear emoticon reminiscent of Kai’s nickname ‘bear’.

On the same day, Kai, who appeared in Netflix’s original entertainment show “New World” as a key player who created many twists, was awarded Best New Male Entertainer.

The released pictures show Kai dressing up in a neat black suit featuring brooches from brand G, a luxury brand which he is being an ambassador for. Above all, these photos were released for fans. Even on the official account of the group, a photo of Kai bursting into laughter was posted.

Kai’s small and distinctive facial features can be clearly seen in the photos. Even when he didn’t smile, Kai still caught the eyes with his handsome and cool look. In the ensuing photo, Kai showed off a completely different charm with his wide smile, cute nose scrunch, and eyes closed. Netizens can’t seem to take their eyes off the male idol, claiming that Kai’s visuals remain the same regardless of his facial expressions.

Under Kai’s post, fans left comments like: “You received the award not because of us, but because you are good”, “You are working hard to film a variety show for us, so we are glad that our love has been somewhat repaid through this means”, “The first Blue Dragon Series Awards, the first award, the first everything. Opening Kai”, “You’re smiling like a baby at 2.9 years old”, and “Your acceptance speech was really touching. That’s why I keep loving you.”

Meanwhile, the Blue Dragon Series Awards, which was held for the first time this year, aims to honor TV dramas and programs produced or invested by OTT platforms (Online Video Service) such as Netflix, TVING, Disney+, Watcha, Wavve, Coupang Play, and more.
