Former Jewelry member Lee Ji Hyun was taken to the emergency room due to an accident while filming.
On July 12th, Lee Ji Hyun posted photos taken in the emergency room on her Instagram.
She explained, “It’s okay. We’re all sick to grow up. During filming, a foreign object popped out and I felt like it was burning in my eyes.”
She added, “I went to the emergency room because it was the hospital’s closing time. They said my cornea was injured. It hurts, but it too shall pass.“
The photos showed Lee Ji Hyun receiving treatment in the emergency room. She is receiving emergency measures without even opening her eyes properly. Her distressed look makes everyone feel sorry for her.
According to Lee Ji Hyun’s explanation, she suffered a corneal injury during filming and was taken to the emergency room late at night. She reassured fans that she was okay, but her patient wristband saying “Emergency” suggested that the degree of the injury was quite serious.
Fans showed concerns, such as “That was a close call“, “What’s going on?“, “I’m so worried“, “I hope you get well soon“, “What kind of object did you even go to the emergency room for?“…
Meanwhile, Lee Ji Hyun debuted as a member of Jewelry in 2001 and left the group in 2006. Afterwards, she went through the pain of divorce twice in 2016 and 2020, and is raising two children alone.
