Some anti-fans use the fact that Rosé did not finish high school to criticize her and claim that she does not deserve to be an idol and role model of young fans. Rosé talked about dropping out of school in Australia to pursue her dream

Back in 2012, when Rosé was only 16, YG was scouting trainees in Sydney, so her father, knowing how much his daughter loves singing, encouraged her to sign up for the audition. Rosé was later torn between continuing her studies in Australia and flying to Korea to become a trainee. This is something she never considered before, and of course, when she made up her mind about quitting school, everyone around her was in shock.

In a past interview with Vogue Australia, Rosé talked about what it was like when she had to make such a difficult decision, “I decided to drop out of school and all my teachers and friends were like: ‘What? Why are you leaving?’ Nobody knew what K-pop was, so nobody understood where I was going. It was terrifying. I was quite a good student. I never thought I would drop out of school.”

Rosé was worried but because of her great passion for music, she decided to give up her studies to become a YG trainee

“Everything makes sense when I sing. I’m just an ordinary person like everyone else. So if people think you are not worthy and can’t overcome the barriers that prevent you from achieving your dreams, just believe in what you like.”

Many netizens find it regrettable that Rosé could not finish high school. But there are also netizens who understand and admire Rosé’s courageous decision to leave school and fulfill her dream. Thanks to that, Rosé is enjoying a desirable life as a globally famous artist and public figure.
