“Doctor Cha” combines elements of “The World of the Married” + “Sky Castle”

After the first broadcast, “Doctor Cha” went viral and boasted an upward trend in ratings every day.

JTBC’s drama “Doctor Cha“, which began airing on April 15th, got off to a good start with a national rating of 4.9% in episode 1. “Doctor Cha” soared to 8% in episode 2. In episode 6, which aired on April 30th, it recorded a national rating of 13.2%.

Thanks to its popularity, various online communities and SNS are currently flooded with reviews from viewers who watched “Doctor Cha”.

As proof of this, actors Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Byung Chul, who are starring in “Doctor Cha”, ranked first and second for 2 consecutive weeks in the TV-OTT integrated drama cast topicality category. Besides, most of the main actors, including Myung Se Bin, Min Woo Hyuk and Park Joon Geum, proved their popularity by making their names in the top 10.

“Doctor Cha” follows the story of Cha Jung Sook (Uhm Jung Hwa), a housewife of 20 years who becomes a first-year medical resident.

Cha Jung Sook’s husband Seo In Ho (Kim Byung Chul) has an affair with Choi Seung Hee (Myung Se Bin), his first love during medical school days. Shockingly, the two have an extramarital child.

Furthermore, Seo In Ho and Choi Seung Hee’s extramarital daughter came out as a “friend” with Seo In Ho and Cha Jung Sook’s daughter, adding to the shock.

The more the drama airs, the more shocking elements continue to appear. Viewers cannot take their eyes off as they are curious about the next story.

In “Doctor Cha”, actor Kim Byung Chul is perfectly digesting the role of a “villain” by appearing as a father forcing his daughter who wants to enter an art school to attend a medical school. This character is very similar to Cha Min Hyuk, who was harsh on his children’s education, in JTBC’s drama “Sky Castle”.

With the birth of a villain who combines the elements of “The World of the Married” and “Sky Castle”, attention is focused on how the drama will end.
