Rapper and TV personality DinDin is being criticized for liking the apology statement of Ravi, who is facing a prison sentence.
On April 11th, the first trial was held for Ravi, who was indicted on charges of violating the Military Service Act. Here, Ravi admitted to all the allegations and evidence submitted and asked to proceed with a decision immediately. As a result, prosecution demanded a 2-year prison sentence for Ravi.
After the trial, Ravi posted a long apology on his Instagram, which included news of his withdrawal from VIXX.
However, DinDin liked the post to show his support, causing netizens to react negatively and call his action “reckless.”
On the other hand, DinDin and Ravi appeared on KBS2’s “2 Days & 1 Night” Season 4 together. When Ravi left the show last May to fulfill his military duty, DinDin showed off their friendship by writing, “Goodbye, Ravi. Our beautiful spring, our spring that will come back again. I don’t think I can watch today’s broadcast; I want you to come back quickly.”
Previously, Ravi was handed over to trial on suspicion of evading military service by conspiring with Mr. Gu, a military service broker who was arrested and indicted last December, to fake symptoms and receive a diagnosis of epilepsy.
According to the prosecution, Ravi received a scenario for military service evasion by handing about 50 million won to Mr. Gu in March 2021. At the time, the male idol made a false report to 119 after fainting as per the scenario, and later visited the hospital and complained of “fake epilepsy.”
