In August 2021, former IZ*ONE member Kim Chaewon reportedly left Woollim Entertainment to join HYBE, preparing to debut in a new girl group with Miyawaki Sakura. When this information surfaced, Chaewon was targeted with negative comments. Korean netizens criticized her for debuting in IZ*ONE over rigged votes.
