Ji Suk-jin’s current situation was revealed through a YouTube live broadcast video released on singer Kim Jong-kook’s official channel on Jan 7th.
In the video, Kim Jong-kook mentioned “Someone asked me to call Suk-jin to ask about his well-being” and proceeded to make a call to Ji Suk-jin.
When Ji Suk-jin answered the call with a bright voice, Kim Jong-kook said, “Your voice seems very healthy. I called you because the new year has started. Happy New Year. I’m currently doing a ‘Gym Jong Kook’ live broadcast. Say hello to the subscribers.“
Ji Suk-jin greeted, “Hello, subscribers of ‘Gym Jong Kook’.“
Ji Suk-jin shared his current situation, “My wife is shopping now, so I’m waiting in the car. I’m a driver now, a driver. We go to the supermarket together, go to the mart, give each other back hugs. We live like that.”
Regarding Ji Suk-jin’s absence from year-end award ceremonies such as the “2023 SBS Entertainment Awards” due to health issues, Kim Jong-kook expressed, “Congratulations on winning the award.
