Actors Ju Ji-hoon and Ha Ji-won are teaming up for the highly anticipated political noir drama Climax, slated to premiere in 2026. Genie TV officially confirmed the casting on November 24, revealing a powerhouse lineup including Ju Ji-hoon, Ha Ji-won, Nana, Cha Joo-young, and Oh Jung-se.

Climax delves into the ruthless world of politics, following prosecutor Bang Tae-seop (played by Ju Ji-hoon) as he dives deep into a massive cartel to grasp the ultimate power in South Korea. The drama explores themes of survival, ambition, and betrayal in a high-stakes political battlefield.

Ju Ji-hoon’s character Bang Tae-seop gains media stardom after marrying popular actress Choo Sang-ah (Ha Ji-won), becoming a “star prosecutor” admired for both charisma and ambition. Ju’s role promises a blend of seductive charm and sharp intensity.

Ha Ji-won returns to the small screen for the first time in four years since Curtain Call, portraying Choo Sang-ah, a once-celebrated actress who has faded into obscurity post-marriage. Her comeback is expected to showcase a bold new side to her acting range.

Nana takes on the role of Hwang Jung-won, a covert informant working closely with Bang Tae-seop. Known for her expressive acting, she holds the key to unlocking the secrets of the powerful cartel.

Oh Jung-se will portray Kwon Jong-wook, the ambitious eldest son of WR Group. His obsession with inheriting the conglomerate intensifies the drama’s core conflict, as he embodies the climactic force of the story.
